| Welcome to South Greenland!
Land of Cool Blue and Lush Green
Greenland, the world's largest island, is dominated by vast frozen wastes, with 85% of the island covered by a sheet of ice up to 3 km thick.
But South Greenland is also surprisingly green. An offshoot of the Gulf Stream brings warm water to the region, providing it with a mild climate. During the arctic summer, meadows and mountainsides burst into bloom.
